Jessica Brown, Attorney at Law

A message from Jessica:

"I grew up in Oklahoma raising and training Quarter Horses. All of my best memories growing up included horses and my little brothers (who aren't so little anymore). When I was 11, I knew that I wanted to be an attorney because attorneys could help people when no one else could. When I was a teenager, my attorney changed the course of my entire life when she gave me the gift of listening to me and advocating for me. That's what I seek to give others while doing this work."

Jessica graduated Magna Cum Laude from Oklahoma City University School of Law in two and a half years.  She was an Assistant Resource Editor with the Oklahoma City University Law Review and received the Law Review’s award for Excellence in Technical Editing.  During her second year, she served as President of the Federal Bar Association, Law Student Division, and was a Holloway Scholar. While pursuing her Juris Doctor, Jessica served as a judicial intern at the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals with Judge Brian Goree and Judge Barbara Swinton.  She also externed with the American Civil Liberties Union of Oklahoma where she worked on civil justice issues.

Jessica enjoys reading, cooking, wearing pretty shoes, and being active. She is a proud citizen of the Choctaw Nation and was raised in Oklahoma.

Highlighted Quote:

“[I want to be remembered as] someone who used whatever talent she had to do her work to the very best of her ability. And to help repair tears in her society, to make things a little better through the use of whatever ability she has. To do something, as my colleague David Souter would say, outside myself. ‘Cause I’ve gotten much more satisfaction for the things that I’ve done for which I was not paid.”

- Ruth Bader Ginsburg (1933 - 2020), Supreme Court Justice
